I am one o...A very upsetting yet touching post, Jo. I am one of those victims. My mind has blocked out the memory of how it happened or whether I was threatened. For years I didn't say anything. My father was an alcoholic. He wasn't physically abusive, but he wasn't there most of the time. My mother was co-dependent. I didn't feel safe in telling anyone. For years I questioned my masculinity and was very promiscous. I didn't know he was a pedophile. This was in the 1950s and little was known. I became a Christian when I was 28 and the healing began. I'm now 70 and still dealing with it at times.
